Question:
Who do you
think is the most overrated and the most underrated composer for the
classical guitar?
Gabriel Guillén:
There are a different composers for classical guitar, I would not say there
are overrated or underrated composers, There are different composers wich
style can be played by so many differerent players.
Question:
Which „Slogan“ would you use in advertising for the classical guitar?
Gabriel Guillén:
Like Berlioz:... a miniatur orchestra"
Question:
With which prejudices
– that are connected with the classical guitar – would you like to get rid
of?
Gabriel Guillén:
well, i think in this time people knows about classical guitar, i mean if
somebody who doesn´t know about guitar it is a question of education.
Question: Which attributes do you find typical
for classical guitarists?
Gabriel Guillén: a guitar player who gets money
from lottery
plays so many concerts until the money is finish...
Question: What things in your life do you
definitely want to learn and what do you regret not having done?
Gabriel Guillén: there are so many things what
I still like to learn if i start to speak about i would never ending this
conversation.
about thinks what I regret not having done i think i am happy with myself
and there is nothink at the moment what I regret not having done.
Question: What dreams do you have that you
would like to fulfil?
Gabriel Guillén: The same dream when i was a
child: learn and play the guitar doesn´t matter if I have concerts to play
or not.
Question: What is embarrassing for you?
Gabriel Guillén: when a person speak too much
without knowing what is he speaking about.
Question: What short phrase would you use to
discribe your lifes philosophy?
Gabriel Guillén: don´t speak too much and play.
Question: Which abuse in your native country
would you like to do away with?
Gabriel Guillén: too many words and to less
efficiency.
Question: In relation to world history, which
personalities fascinate you the most?
Gabriel Guillén: Napoleon Bonaparte, Chales de
Gaulle, Winston Churchill, Niccoló Paganini and Leonardo da Vinci.
Question: Which question would you like to be
asked and what is your Gabriel Guillén to this question?
Gabriel Guillén: How was the day as you play
the guitar for the first time in your life?
The sky was blue, I really will never forget this day.
Question: Which guitar virtuoso today has the
makings to follow in the footsteps of Andres Segovia?
Gabriel Guillén: No idea, I don´t care about
Segovia.
